Amadeus has made a minority investment in Hivr.ai, a startup that provides technology for hotels to manage meetings and groups sales, through its Amadeus Ventures investment arm.
Germany-based Hivr.ai, which was founded in 2020, uses artificial intelligence to help hotels automate more of the meetings and groups’ sales process and increase revenue.

Meetings and groups make up more than a third of room nights worldwide, a statement said, but the opportunity is greater since only about 10-20% of meeting requests go on to be confirmed.
In addition to the strategic investment, Amadeus is exploring opportunities to collaborate with Hivr.ai and make the technology available to its hotel customers.
“Our innovative, AI‑led solutions empower convention sales teams to transform their workflows,” said Felix Undeutsch, CEO of Hivr.ai.
“In an era of understaffed reservation offices, Hivr.ai automates time‑consuming and manual back‑office tasks. This includes data entry, complex availability checks, and repetitive follow‑up emails and calls through our voice AI technology. Now convention sales teams can focus on what truly matters: crafting unique experiences for their meeting customers, rather than being weighed down by low‑value administrative tasks.”
“Through Amadeus Ventures we closely monitor trends across the hospitality ecosystem, with a focus on the rapidly evolving AI space,” said Suzanna Chiu, head of Amadeus Ventures. "Hivr.ai provides hoteliers with a practical use for this developing technology, offering solutions which can be seamlessly integrated into existing operations. The investment fits with our wider mission of bringing innovative solutions to our customers and improve their operational efficiency.”
Amadeus Ventures has invested in a number of travel companies in recent years including climate technology specialist Chooose, ticket marketplace Busbud and Eccocar, a mobility solutions provider, in 2022 and SAF specialist Caphenia in 2023.
